At speeds between 85-95, your page will load quickly and be easy to use on desktop and mobile. You will see more traffic and conversions because people will be willing to stay on your site and click around for longer. They will also be more likely to revisit your site in the future.

If you aren’t sure of your site speed, use a tool like Google PageSpeed Insights to determine how your site is currently performing. It’ll give you an overall score and make some suggestions for how your site can get a higher rating.

If you need to improve your site score, here are a few things you can try:

  • Compress and Optimize CSS, HTML, and JavaScript Files. Compress these files and also remove anything unnecessary like spaces, comments, or unused code.
  • Eliminate Redirects when Possible. With every redirect, users have to wait for the HTTP request-response cycle to complete. Eliminate redirects where you can, especially on the home page, so that pages load as quickly as possible.
  • Optimize Images. This is an easy way to increase site speed quickly. Upload images as PNG files instead of JPEG when you can. PNG uses fewer colors and is better for graphics. Also, don’t add pictures any larger than they need to be.

A good site speed score is important for the success of your website. It’s better for users, which means that it will be ranked higher by Google.
